Workshop on mixing and set building.
A good set doesn't start at the mixer, but with the selection of tracks, the sense of the moment, and the feeling for the room. This workshop explores how individual pieces become a story: How do I make decisions when selecting? How do I build tension and energy across different set lengths? And how do I find my own approach to the dramaturgy of a set? We'll also look at the characteristics of older techno and house productions. What role do timing, EQing, and transitions play? And what does flow mean: when does it emerge and when is it worth consciously breaking it? The focus here is on musical decisions, intuition, and developing your own sound.
