Kerstin Mayer has spent a lot of time at concerts since she was seventeen. For more than a decade, she was also active behind the scenes. At the same time, she trained as a tax assistant, studied Media Management, and passed the examination to become an event manager. Afterwards, she worked in various media companies before discovering and falling in love with the subject of cultural funding. She spent several years as a project manager at Initiative Musik and then took over the financial administration of the Amadeus Antonio Foundation, which supports initiatives against group-related misanthropy.

Since 2020, Kerstin Mayer has been supporting musicians as an independent funding consultant in the application and implementation of funding projects – including on behalf of Music Pool Berlin and RockCity Hamburg. Since 2020, Kerstin has been on the board for Bundesverbands Popularmusik – BV Pop.
