Who we are
We, POP Office Bremen, are a non-profit association promoting popular music from the state of Bremen. In close cooperation with the local scene, members and our board, our team develops needs, collaborations, networks and ultimately funding programmes to promote the professionalization of music creators and a resilient and sustainable music industry. We think beyond the rehearsal room and genre boundaries – holistically! Our funding programs, which are based on the following three pillars, provide monetary/financial support in addition to networking and knowledge transfer. In concrete terms, this means that we regularly organize showcases, hold information and networking events (POPup MEETup), offer personal advice via our pool and provide financial support with programmes such as live or release funding. We strive to constantly expand our portfolio of measures and optimize them to meet your needs. Because the primary goal of the promotion by POP Office Bremen is to create a stable and dynamic musical ecosystem in the entire state together with you, in which musicians can earn their living and realize their artistic goals.
Our team
Our team currently consists of three part-time employees: Katrin, Tine and Mantao. We all have many years of experience in the field of label and media work: whether radio, television, label, record store, event industry or marketing – we as a team have worked in all these areas and now contribute our knowledge and passion for you. Because we love music and want to live in a state that loves its musicians. And that is Bremen for us!
